True inclusion extends beyond the classroom—it begins with families\, expands through friendships\, and flourishes within communities that embrace accessibility and belonging. \n\n\n\nThis interactive workshop explores how parents\, siblings\, extended family members\, educators\, peers\, and community leaders can become powerful allies in creating inclusive environments where deaf and hard of hearing children can thrive. \n\n\n\nKaren Putz is a mom of three deaf and hard of hearing kids who are now adults. She is the founder of The Parent Circle and the author of multiple books\, including “Success Wisdom by Deaf and Hard of Hearing People” available in English and Spanish. Karen founded the Illinois chapter of Hands & Voices and worked at headquarters for several years.
