Families enjoyed a fun and festive day at Chase Farm! Children picked pumpkins and gourds during a tractor hayride, explored the corn maze, climbed hay stacks, fed the goats, and enjoyed snacks while connecting with other families.
On the morning of Sunday, October 12th, nine families gathered for apple picking at Dubois Farm in Highland, New York.
Rochester families with deaf and hard of hearing children had the chance to connect while cheering on the team. Parents were able to chat and share ideas, while the kids had fun enjoying the game together.
Families gathered at the Wild Wings Nature Center for a fun and engaging morning together. Children and parents had the chance to explore the center, learn about the birds and animals, and connect with one another in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Each family expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to attend the Yankees Game with their child and the opportunity to meet other families from across New York State who have children who were deaf or hard of hearing.

We had 19 families with over 30 children attend our event at the Apple farm. We had an Interpreter at our event who assisted with the deaf adults. She was also able to teach animal ASL vocabulary and taught the song “Old MacDonald” in sign language.
