  • Summer Kickoff 2026 (Colonie)

    Hands & Voices of NY had a successful spring event this morning at Cook Park.

  • Ice Cream Social Event (Westchester)

    Our Westchester Ice Cream Social was enjoyed by families! We started the hot day event with ice cream. Kids used their communication skills and ordered ice cream individually.

  • Ice Cream Social Event (Kingston)

    Our Hudson Valley group of families met in Kingston for ice cream and fun in the park! Sponsored by NY EHDI, the event provided opportunities for connection, learning, and play in an inclusive environment.

  • Saratoga Childrens Museum (Saratoga)

    We had our event today at the Saratoga Children’s Museum. A total of 18 families were there (38 children with a total of 74 people attended). The museum was very generous to give us two hours for our private event before opening to the general public.

  • Deaf Night Out Bowling (Clifton Park)

    Families with deaf and hard of hearing children and adults from the deaf and hard of hearing community came together for a free night of bowling in Clifton Park, NY sponsored by Hands & Voices of NY. 

  • Westchester Childrens Museum (Westchester)

    Thank you Westchester Children’s Museum for welcoming families with deaf and hard of hearing children for a museum experience on March 28. This Hands & Voices event was sponsored by NY EHDI.

  • Winter Play Meet-Up (Rhinebeck)

    Hudson Valley families met at Rhinebeck’s “At Play” play space on February 8th for a Hands & Voices event. Everyone gathered together in a private room at the play space to enjoy coffee, bagels and refreshments while families filtered in.

  • Holiday Party (Albany)

    Our holiday party was a success at Bring on the Spectrum. It took place this past Saturday, December 20. We had 22 families with a total of 87 people, 45 of them children. It was definitely one of our biggest turnouts for an event.

  • Buffalo Fall Event (Buffalo)

    Buffalo area families met for Pumpkin Picking at Akron Acres in October. Thanks to all who came and to Lindsay for organizing! The children had a chance to interact with animals, experience pony rides, and a hay ride to the pumpkin patch where the children were able to pick out a pumpkin.

  • Inclusive Storytime (Westchester)

    Inclusive Storytime“I DEAF-initely Can” (Westchester, NY) 2025 Families had a lovely time at the ASL inclusive reading of the fan favorite book I DEAF-initely Can by Deaf author Karlie Waldrip last month at the Mamaroneck Public Library in Westchester on Dec 13.
